Project Details:
We are seeking a skilled Software Test Validation Engineer to join our team at the North Haven, CT site.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in software validation techniques within regulated environments, particularly in the medical field.
Your responsibilities will encompass understanding software architecture, designing and executing test strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards throughout the release process.
Job Functions:
Contribute to software validation activities within the Software operations transfer team, situated in the Robotic Surgical Technologies Software COE.
Spearhead the definition and implementation of various software testing techniques to enhance test coverage for manufacturing and service software.
Employ software test engineering methodologies to optimize validation coverage efficiently, incorporating both automated and manual testing approaches.
Develop and deliver all software validation deliverables for projects to facilitate regulatory submissions.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of system technicalities, architecture, and software requirements, and adept at identifying software defects across all development phases.
Coordinate dry runs and formal validation activities as necessary.
Foster collaboration with technical engineering teams and develop software tools when required.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with Medical Product verification, IEC-62304, and FDA guidance.
Proficiency in creating test protocols for verifying software requirements.
Strong grasp of good documentation practices.
Ability to collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure testing aligns with Quality and Regulatory requirements.
Capability to manage, track, and update multiple hardware and software configurations.
Aptitude for working with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers to identify, document, and resolve integration issues.
Familiarity with common programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python is preferred.
Experience utilizing tools or repositories for managing test cases (e.
g.
, GIT Stash, JIRA, etc.
).
